Pie Crust:
- 1 9 inch deep dish pie crust, frozen or homemade
Filling:
- 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 3 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg (plus additional for the top)
- 1 cup buttermilk (not fat-free, room temperature)
- 1/2 cup butter (salted or unsalted, melted and cooled)
- 3 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Serving:

- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place the pie crust on a baking sheet. Set aside.
