- 6 ounces jumbo pasta shells (about half a standard-size box)
For Filling:
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, freshly grated
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, minced
- 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
For Topping:
- 2 1/2 cups spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Prepare Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 2-quart baking dish with olive oil and spread 1/2 cup of spaghetti sauce on the bottom.
