Marinade:

  • 1 cup whole milk greek yogurt (or sour cream)
  • 1/2 tsp shawarma seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Chicken:

  • 4 boneless chicken thighs

Instructions

  1. Mix Marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine greek yogurt, shawarma seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, lemon juice, orange juice, and olive oil.
  2. Marinate Chicken: Place chicken thighs in a ziploc bag with marinade, coat well, and refrigerate for 6-8 hours.
  3. Bake Chicken: Preheat oven to 425°F. Arrange marinated chicken on a sheet pan and bake for 20 minutes until cooked through and crispy. For extra crispiness, broil for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Air Fryer Method: Preheat air fryer to 375°F. Air fry chicken thighs for 10 minutes, flip, and cook for an additional 6-8 minutes until crispy and fully cooked.

Notes

  • Do not marinate the chicken for more than 12 hours.
