Dry Ingredients:

  • 3 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 pkg (2 oz) dry onion soup mix

Wet Ingredients:

  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, grated or shredded (divided)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and dry onion soup mix. Stir in buttermilk until just combined. Mix in 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
  3. Prepare Loaf: Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×5 loaf pan. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
