Potatoes:

  • 3 lbs Yukon gold potatoes (or Russet potatoes)

Garlic Milk Mixture:

  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup salted butter
  • 8 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prep Potatoes: Wash and scrub 3 lbs Yukon gold potatoes, chop into small chunks.
  2. Cook Potatoes: Boil chopped potatoes in a large pot until very soft when poked with a fork.
  3. Prepare Garlic Milk Mixture: In a saucepan, heat milk, butter, minced garlic, salt, and pepper over low heat for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Combine: Drain cooked potatoes, add garlic milk mixture, and mash until smooth with a hand masher or electric mixer.
