These Easy Soy Garlic Chicken Thighs are a flavorful and satisfying dish that’s perfect for a quick and delicious dinner. Tender chicken thighs are coated in a crispy potato starch and flour mixture, then pan-fried to perfection and coated in a savory sweet soy garlic sauce.

Chicken:

  • 1 lb chicken thighs boneless skinless
  • 3 tbsp potato starch
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp neutral oil for pan-frying

Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup chicken stock (sub: water & chicken bouillon)
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Garnish:

  • Green onion (green part)
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. SOY GARLIC CHICKEN SAUCE: Combine all the sauce ingredients – chicken stock, honey, rice vinegar, dark soy sauce, cornstarch. Mix well and set aside.
  2. CHICKEN: Pat dry the chicken thighs. Mix potato starch, flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper on a plate. Coat chicken thighs with the mixture.
  3. Frying: Heat oil in a pan, fry chicken until golden brown on both sides.
  4. SAUCE: In the same pan, saute garlic, white part of green onion, and chili flakes. Add sauce, cook until thickened.
  5. Finish: Return chicken to the pan, cook until coated in sauce.
  6. Serve: Garnish with green onion (green part) and sesame seeds. Serve with veggies and rice.
