Ingredients

Scale

Eggs

  • 12 large eggs

Filling

  • 8 ounces full-fat cream cheese, softened at room temperature for 1 hour or more
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Add-ins & Toppings

  • 6 slices bacon, cooked crisp and diced
  • 3 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped (or chives, finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

  1. Hard-Boil the Eggs: Cover the eggs with cold water in a pot, bring to a boil, then remove from heat and let stand for 8 to 10 minutes. Drain and cool the eggs in an ice bath to stop the cooking process and make peeling easier. Peel all the eggs carefully.
  2. Prepare the Egg Halves: Slice each egg in half lengthwise using a sharp knife. Gently scoop out the yolks with a small spoon and place them into a mixing bowl.
  3. Make the Filling: Add the softened cream cheese to the bowl with the yolks. Beat the mixture first on low speed, then increase to high speed until it becomes fluffy and whipped. Season with kosher salt and black pepper to taste.
  4. Incorporate Bacon and Green Onions: Fold in half of the cooked, diced bacon along with the finely chopped green onions. Mix gently with a spoon or spatula to combine all flavors evenly.
  5. Fill the Egg Whites: Spoon or pipe the creamy yolk mixture back into the hollowed-out egg white halves, mounding it on top for a pleasant presentation.
  6. Add Everything Bagel Seasoning: Generously sprinkle the tops of the filled eggs with the everything bagel seasoning to enhance flavor and add texture.
  7. Garnish and Finish: Scatter the remaining diced bacon and green onions over the deviled eggs as a final garnish to add color and a burst of taste.
  8. Serve: For optimal freshness and taste, serve the deviled eggs within two hours. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.

Notes

  • For easier peeling, let the eggs cool completely in an ice bath after boiling.
  • Use a piping bag for a more elegant presentation of the filling.
  • You can substitute chives for green onions if preferred.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened for a smooth, creamy filling.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within 24 hours for best quality.
