Instructions

  1. Combine dry ingredients: Add the flour to a medium bowl and combine it with the baking powder. Add a pinch of salt if desired.
  2. Mix dough: Make a well in the center of the flour and add the cottage cheese. Mix until a chunky dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
  4. Shape bagels: Divide dough into 4 sections, roll each into a log, and form bagel shapes.
  5. Prepare egg wash: Whisk the egg with water or milk, brush over bagels, and add toppings.
  6. Air fry: Preheat air fryer, place bagels inside, and cook at 300°F for 15-17 minutes until golden.
  7. Cool and serve: Let bagels cool for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
